...I hope wherever you go when you die is a good place. He deserves nothing less than the best. I've loved and adored Steve Irwin for over a decade, and his recent death greatly upset me. He was one of the few people who was truly good. He was so passionate and dedicated and loving. Anything that lived, he loved it. He was someone that everyone should strive to be like. The world lost a hero.
Done in Corel painter essentials 2, with my tablet, and a reference of him that I found somewhere online. And please, keep your crits to yourself, I don't want to hear them. I know it does him no justice, but I felt that I needed to give my own tribute to such a wonderful being. May he rest in peace.
Respect. Nice work. You should send it to Australia Zoo - its a fantastic tribute. I know what you mean though, its such a shame for such a good person to go like that. But he left alot of good behind, for which we should be happy about
Ive been faving art around DA of Steve in the past few days but I felt like commenting. It's beautifuly drawn, what can I say? You sure did well. Im amazed at all the support he's gotten. Much more than I expected, but it's a good thing too though. On the search there was 800 pics yesturday, now there's over 1000! Amazing work anyways! *favs it*
This picture really does depict just what he was like, who he was, it shows him so loving of wildlife and unafraid to take risks just to show the world what those creatures are like and to know how each and every one of them in special... ._. He will be greatly missed. ,u-u,

It's like a friend died you know? :/ I really have no idea why it's hit me so hard but it has. He really WAS one of the nicest, most passionate people out there.
One more person who was out to make the bond of man and animal stronger gone...
Very nicely done. It seems a lot of artists have been moved by his passing as I've seen a lot of memoriam art of him. I'm working on my own piece as well.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
